Jerome Hollomon, LSW

Jerome (he/him) is a Black, queer man and therapist with a dedication to inclusivity and empowerment. He has worked with individuals of diverse identities and backgrounds and approaches clients with patience, empathy, and a strengths-based approach because he wants his clients to feel engaged and empowered in their choices and decisions. Jerome aspires to cultivate an open, nonjudgmental environment where clients can freely explore their needs, aspirations, and intersecting identities while fostering resilience and self-discovery.

Drawing from a holistic perspective, Jerome meets clients where they are when they first enter therapy. His therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, relational therapy, and narrative therapy strategies, all within a trauma-informed framework. He also utilizes solution-focused brief therapy to help clients meet their goals. Through this blend of modalities, he aims to provide comprehensive support tailored to each individual's circumstances. Jerome has clinical expertise in supporting those managing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, self-esteem challenges, school-related issues, relationship difficulties, and trauma.

Jerome earned his Master's in Social Work from Columbia University in 2019. Through his work as a health and behavioral health social worker, he has gained invaluable experience helping clients navigate complex systems such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, and social service programs while advocating for their medical and sexual health needs. He particularly enjoys working with clients from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, striving to create a safe and affirming space for their growth and healing because he understands that clients want to see providers who hold similar identities.
